Somoud is a Palestinian term that means resilience.
The brand tells the story of Palestinians who have their own history, culture and language and who have the right to exist freely and independently.
Part of our resilience and existence resides in our duty tell others more about us and about our narrative. As it’s our duty to do so, we created this platform that introduces our own production to the world. Somoud is established to support the local community in Palestine by encouraging them to be more productive as we buy their products and sell them abroad.
In doing so, we work with the local community institutions in Palestine. There, women and young children create handmade products turning the Palestinian culture into pieces of art. Somoud started looking for a space where they can sell their products to continue their resilience. Somoud provides more job opportunities to the people of Palestine, and it allows pro-Palestinian people around the world to continue supporting them. By buying our products, we give you the opportunity to approach Palestine culture and to be part of its resilience. Each product we sell has a long-rooted story that is written by the working hands of the Palestinian community.
